A Short Critical History of Economic Theory

Western economic theory can be thought of as having three major camps: Neo-classical, Keynesian, and Monetarist, with the Austrian school as an important extension of the Neoclassical. Add to this the Eastern Marxists and the less prominent Institutionalists, and a fair picture of the divisions among economic thinkers, from a socio-political point of view, has been drawn.
